From December 20, 2024, to December 22, 2024, students of SJS GGSSS, Silana, embarked on a three-day educational and spiritual journey to Vrindavan, the land of Lord Krishna. The trip aimed to provide students with a blend of learning and cultural exposure, enhancing their understanding of history, mythology, and spirituality.

The journey began with a memorable send-off at the school, where the Principal, Mahinder Singh Yadav, waved the green flag, symbolizing the official departure of the students. Faculty members Madhu, Meenakshi, and Sangeeta accompanied the students, ensuring their safety and guidance throughout the tour.

The first stop was the iconic Banke Bihari Temple, where students marveled at the grandeur of the deity and the vibrant devotional atmosphere. They learned about the temple’s rich history and significance in Hindu culture.

On the second day, the group explored the serene ISKCON Temple, a hub for spiritual seekers worldwide. Students participated in the soulful kirtan sessions, interacted with devotees, and gained insights into the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Another highlight of the trip was a visit to the Prem Mandir, renowned for its intricate architecture and illuminated evening display. The students were mesmerized by the beautifully depicted scenes from Lord Krishna’s life, which enriched their knowledge of Indian mythology.

The final day featured an engaging tour of Kusum Sarovar and Govardhan Hill, where students learned about the historical and mythological stories associated with these sacred sites.
